Club Notes, 15 September 2021

I hope you're getting out to some games.

Last week, the Intermediate Camogie mentor team put out a call for support for their championship home game against Ballyboden.  I hear a great response meant plenty of supporters, and they were in touch to say the support gave the team a great lift.
Support matters. And once again we've a busy weekend; so take your pick, swing by the club. Bring your colours and your voice, and keep social distancing!  Thanks as always to players for entertaining us, mentors for your dedication, and supporters for being the "extra player".

As always, keep an eye on social channels (Instagram, Twitter and Facebook)
if you want something included in the club notes, all you have to do is drop me a mail at pro@stvincentsgaa.ie.

Juvenile Boys Mentors: A word of warning!

Mentors of juvenile boys teams please note: The Dublin County board issued the following statement a couple of weeks back:
"From Saturday 4th September, Team sheets must include players name in both Irish and English along with their GAA registration number.
All Team Mentors’ names must also be listed and Bibs must be worn by all Mentors."

Bear in mind Foireann can generate team sheets with Irish names and GAA Registration numbers. If you have difficulty, do drop me a line, but please, don't leave it until 30 minutes before your game!

GAA Strategic Plan, 2021-2026

The GAA are embarking on their strategic plan for the period 2021-2026.  To this end, they are carrying out a survey of what's important to members.
I recommend you have your say, by filling out the survey here.
If you don't fill this out, consider your rights to give out about black xards, The forward mark and Hawkeye rescinded!

2. Buy an entry here

4. Turn up and enjoy!

Dodgy Streams - Avoid

We've seen an uptick recently in "comment spam" on our Facebook posts.  Specifically, it tends to be people claiming to be running streams of games.  We're doing our best to stay on top of this, and we report, ban and remove the comments as quickly as we can. Please note that we aren't currently planning streams, and if we do, we'll issue notices ourselves, not some person you've never heard of!
These comments are designed to get you to follow a link, which may contain malware, or may harvest data from you facebook account.  If in any doubt, simply don't click on the link.

All-Stars Donation Page Available

After last week's update, a number of mentors were in touch saying their teams would like to chip in to help with funding the all-start initaitive. This is amazing - we'd love everyone in the club to contribute in some way, and paying towards equipment is a big help.
If your team (or individuals!) would like to donate, we've set up a page to allow you to do so. All proceeds will be used for equipment or gear for our All Stars.  You can donate here.

And finally..

Last friday evening, the U15 B team played a challenge game against St Margarets. Hats off to proud dad Sven Sackers, who captured this move (alternative link) by his son Björn. I'm told Björn has enjoyed some time in the limelight all week since we posted it. I felt it was worth a re-post so that those who don't do the social media thing could catch a glimpse.
