Yeah. Very little to talk of this week. Not even a lotto because of the bank holiday. Not a champo, not a challenge game, nothing. I'll keep it short, people.

No lotto this week. We never have a lotto of a bank holiday. Why ? I dunno. Thems the rules. It's been llike that for ever.

Congrats, Conor on your Dublin Senior Debut
|

A good win by Dublin Senior Hurlers last weekend against Laois (Dublin 2-31 Laois 0:23) with Vincents representation from Conor Burke and Riain McBride. Plenty of praise for Conor's debut including a shout out by Jackie Tyrell. Well done to Conor and Riain.

Not so lucky, Dublin Senior Camogie Team

| |
Hard luck to the Dublin Camogie team who went down by 5 to Tipperary (Dublin 0-11, Tipperary 1-13). Great representation here from Vins in the form of Dee Johnston, Grainne Quinn, Muireann Kelliher, Ali Maguire, Aisling Maher (who bagged 7 points!), and Ellen McGovern.

Best Wishes to Mark Neville

The club extends its best wishes to Mark Neville, outgoing Principal of Ard Scoil Rís. At St Vincents, we enjoy a strong bond with local schools and our relationship with Ard Scoil Rís epitomises our links to the local community. We've worked together with Mr Neville in recent years on pitch development, securing a future resource that will benefit both the school and the club. Mr Neville finished in ASR at the start of the mid-term break, to take up a position as principal of Coláiste Chiaráin in Leixlip. From everyone at CLG Naomh Uinsionn, we wish Mr Neville all the best in his new role.

Each year, as we get towards the end of the season, we always end up with a number of mentor and manager places to fill; This occurs at juvenile and adult teams, for both boys and girls. Filling these positions is often left to games directors to ask individuals if they would consider a role. So, how about we turn this around for once?
Maybe you've finished playing in the last couple of years and are missing those days. Or perhaps, you coached at juvenile and hadn't considered taking an adult team? Maybe you haven't thought about it in in many years. Well, now is your time! If you think you'd like to help out with a team drop me a mail and I'll ensure that the correct games director gets in touch to discuss options.

I can't let this week go past without showing you this. Hats off to whoever runs Sheffield United's TikTok account. Sheffield has three players hailing from Ireland one of whom John Egan, son of the Kerry player of the 70s/80s of the same name. In last weeks game, John was giving a ball back for a free in what I can only guess was a muscle-memory move. They put the resulting clip to some familiar music. Make sure you have your sound on for this one.
