Minors go foraging for inner strength | | Over the Easter weekend, the minor boys panel went on a camping retreat facilitated by Wexford hurling legend, Diarmuid Lyng. The event started with a hurling workshop at Enniskerry GAA grounds. This was followed by a dip in the Wicklow rivers at Knocksink where the lads created a human bridge to safely navigate the flowing river to a cool pool to replenish the muscles. Then on to Glenmalure Valley where the lads were split into groups; one building the camp and preparing dinner, another with Micheal Rowesome exploring the stories they live by and how they can be creative in those stories, and another with Michael Ryan doing some breathwork while also delving in to the time they are at in their lives, the societal roles they play and that they are expected to play at this crucial time. They came back as one at the fire, debriefed and had venison stew.
An early rise where the lads stretched with some yoga followed by a bit of one-on-one wrestling and then stood in to a peer feedback session where they got to celebrate the strengths of their teammates as well as acknowledging areas where they might improve. Lunch in the Glenmalure lodge brought the curtain down on a very invigorating 24 hours that hopefully will sustain the lads for a lifetime. What a wonderful initiative by the minor managers. More of this please! |

Next up, Tessa Lambe and Hannah Murphy who were both on the panel minor LFGA that won the minor B Leinster Final by a goal. Noting that Tessa made a very timely intervention to prevent a goal in the first half! Well done to both, at the vanguard of our growing LFGA section. Comhghairdeas to Aisling Maher (Dublin senior Camogie Captain) and Anna Sullivan both part of the Dublin senior panel who overcame Wexford to claim the 1B league final. This came at the high cost of missing out on collecting their Senior Vins Player of the Year and Soaring Star awards at Saturday night's Camogie Awards Gala. Aisling contributed a personal tally of 1-08 on the day. We appreciate both of you were no doubt crushed at missing the Awards night and hope the league victory provides some solace😞 |

| Camogie Awards Gala, oh what a night! | | I think it is fair to say a great night was had by all... Of course as well as the medal giving there were a number of play awards handed out on the night and two in absentia. Each panel had a Camogie player of the year and also a soaring star. They are as follows : Junior: POY is Ciara Curley and Soaring Star is Kristina Miller Intermediate : POY is Aoife Traynor and Soaring Star is Caoimhe Walshe Senior: POY is Aisling Maher and Soaring Star is Anna Sullivan. (They were not at event as they were with the Dublin team celebrating their league win). Danielle Smith won overall club player of the year as chosen by attendees on the night, well done Danielle. | The time is now! |

Whether you are a playing or non-playing member it is vital you renew your membership. It helps pay for the pitches, the lights, the hall, the heating... I could go on.
