Your Club Update
April 9th, 2020

Senior Cocooning Championship

Howdy folks. A short update this week due to "no change".
All club activities remain off. The club is closed until further notice. So, not much to report. If there is anything of interest, I'll be sure to put something out on our social channels Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
if you want something included in the club notes, all you have to do is drop me a mail at pro@stvincentsgaa.ie.

Hi To Mini-League Parents

I normally don't send the weekly notes to mini-league parents, as I keep an alternive mailing list for them. I've included mini-leage parents in this and last week notes as there's mini-league specific information in here, so I hope you don't mind! Hello! Welcome!

Continuing to help those in our community

Our volunteer team is now actively helping a number of people on a regular basis at this point. Individual volunteers have been assigned to those who have seeked help to give them a sense of security and familiarity.
If you or a family member is in need of assistance, simply call or text Aoife Drumgoole on 087 947 6626 and she will co-ordinate one of the volunteer team to respond.

Online Lotto Returns

As you may know, we moved from one online membership to another. As part of this, we stopped using our previous provider for online lotto. We now have online lotto back and you can now play online at this link. Playing is super simple. Thre's 3 options:
  • 3 Months - 12 Entries for €12
  • 6 Months -  26 Entries for €24 (that's 2 Free!)
  • 12 Months - 52 Entries for €46 (that's 6 Free!)
As I'm sure you know, the club still needs funds to operate, and playing lotto is a great way to help your support of the club, whilst being in with winning a few bob!  Gwan.  Give it a go!
What's that link again ? Its here

Virtual Mini Leagues - This Saturday!

Last week, our games promotion officer and lead mini-leaguer Emma Byrne ran a virtual mini leagues training session over Zoom. The event was a great success with over 90 attendees all taking part and getting a bit of exercise with a lot of fun.
Some of you may have heard that one or two similar events at other clubs were visited with unwanted guests who disrupted the show, but because of a few precautions, our session remained secure and limited to those invited.
This disruption at other clubs has led to guidelines being issued by the GAA, LGFA and Camogie Association.
Next Saturday will see another virtual mini-leagues, this time run over Microsoft Teams. The session will be run this Saturday, 11th April at 11:00am.  Would you child like to take part? Simply sign up here. (If you signed up last week there's no need to do it again). The team will follow up with an email with details on how to install Microsoft Teams and join the meeting. We hope to have a good crowd taking part. Here's a quick teaser video.

And it's not just mini-leagues

Emma's been hard at work with a number of teams. Here she is leading our U16 girls on a virtual training session. I'm also getting plenty of reports of other teams attending virtual sessions; we thank all our mentors who've gone this extra mile to keep our teams enthused during this difficult time.

Newsletter details

This newsletter is sent to over 1000 recipients and is a great way to inform members of club happenings. If you want anything included in the newsletter, drop a mail to pro@stvincentsgaa.ie. Comments and feedback are welcome too.

And finally..

We thank Louise Bryne, sister to Emma who helped with the virtual mini leagues last weekend. We hear the "second Emma" confused many of the children.
