|
| With Easter coming up, it means the fixture list gets a temporary short break. Only a couple of games on this weekend. Plenty of folks playing at Inter County this week. I suspect we'll have a short newsletter this week. |

| | There was no jackpot winner. Winner of the weekly prize of €100 was Martin Donnelly |
| Next week's Jackpot will be €5,050., or will it? Well, for starters, there'll be no Lotto next week as Monday is a bank holiday. And also, if memory serves me right, there's a €5,000 limit on the lotto. That's a government rule, don't you know. Without applying to the superintendent, lotteries must have a max prize of €5,000. I bet you didn't think you'd learn something when you started reading the lotto results, eh? |

| | Inter-County Representation |
| The Inter-county representation continues as the county teams are in the thick of their season. Who's on what then? U16 Ladies Football Dublin U16 ladies football take on Wexford in the Leinster Championship this Sunday at 2:00 pm, at TU Dublin, Blanchardstown.(Tickets here). Good Luck to Hannah Murphy who captains the team. Minor Ladies Football Hard luck to the Minor Dubs, who were narrowly defeated (0-10 to 0-8) against Longford this evening. We had Eimear Adamson on the panel for this game; hard luck Eimear. Intermediate Camogie The Dublin Intermediate Camogie play Antrim on 8th April, a win will see them reach the League Final. Dara Cooke, Caoimhe Walshe and Lizzy Murray line out for that game, where Liam Mac Cuirc is the Coach. Minor Football A good win this evening in Parnell Park for the Dublin Minor Footballers (1-10 to 1-15) over Louth in the Leinster Minor Football Championship. Named on this squad were Seán Keogh, Harry Curley, and Leo Sweeney. Dublin's Twitter stream suggests that Harry bagged 3 points this evening. Well done boys! Minor Hurling Commiserations to the Dublin Minor hurlers who were narrowly beaten by Wexford last Saturday (1-8 to 1-9). On that team we had Harry Curley, Ryan Murphy and Rónán O'Neill. U20 Football Another good win for the U20 footballers in the Leinster U20 championship last night (1-15 to 1-9) against Offaly. Congratulations to Kalem O'Brien, Andrew Smyth, and Bill Costello who lined out. |
| Easter Bunny came to mini leagues! |
| Great excitement last weekend as the Easter Bunny showed up at Mini leagues. |
| | A look back to last weekend's games |
| Minor Girls The Minor Girls Camogie game didn't go ahead. That's due to be played this weekend instead. The Minor footballers were in action on Monday, and had a good win over Naomh Maur (3-14 to 0-12), our B team drew against Kilmacud Crokes (3-8 to 2-10) Minor Boys Both minor games were also cancelled last weekend. Adult Ladies Good win this evening for our Adult A team, who beat St Oliver Plunkett Eoghan Ruadh (5-6 to 0-08) Adult Men A nail-biting finish for the Senior footballers against Raheny last weekend. In a game where we were down to 14 men 10 minutes from the end due to a black card, Raheny had just started to pull ahead. By full time they were ahead by two, but during injury time, with us back to 15 men, Cian Dunne was brought down in the box; It was Raheny's turn to be down to 14. Dunne calmly slotted the penalty home, and we ended up winning by a single point. Final score 2-7 to 2-6. Our Junior A footballers had a win over Ballinteer St Johns (2-8 to 0-9) and our Junior B also had a win in their contest with St Brigids (3-12 to 1-16). The Intermediate's game was called off due to unplayable pitch. Boys Féile The U15 A had a win in the shield (Div 1) over Castleknock (1-8 to 1-6), while the U15 B team also recorded a win beating Na Gael Oige (0-9 to 0-6). Camogie Yesterday say our Senior Camogie Draw with Na Fianna (2-8 to 0-14). This was the only adult game contested last week due to many unplayable pitches. |
| | Quite a quiet weekend, what with it being Easter. The Fixtures page is only showing 3 games all weekend. Some mid-week action to consider next week though: The big game will be the Senior Camogie, who travel to Castleknock next Tuesday (7:00pm) |
| | The Senior 2 team are also lining out next Tuesday, when they travel to Finglas to take on Erin's Isle. The juniors don't play until the 13th, so we'll pick that up next week. The Adult Ladies will welcome Garristown to PNU next week (Wed 12th, 7:00pm) and our B team will also have a home game; They play Round Towers Clondalkin, also next Wednesday at 7:00pm. |

| By sheer co-incidence, I was browsing some of my old photos and came across this photo; The meta-data is missing from the image, but my guess is this is around 2010 or 2011. If you look closely, bottom left is a smiling, Andrew Smyth. |
| | Congratulations Andrew, from little acorns….. (And for the rest of you - there's a couple of now-senior panel members in there. Can you spot them?) |
