This weekend is a football championship weekend for the adult men, but alas, we're out at Senior and Intermediate levels. The Camogie is down to a couple of games which will be played next week. (We're Junior Camogie Champions!) The minor ladies' footballers are in the Div 2 Championship this weekend at home - so one there to get out and support. It is though, a quieter weekend than we have been treated to lately. That's champo for ya. |

AGM, and a new executive required. |
| The AGM will take place on Thursday, November 24th. This is not your official notice, as that will come from the club secretary in due course. However I was asked to re-emphasise that the executive committee's term comes to an end at this year's AGM, and will be stepping down. Members are advised that if they are thinking of forming an executive committee you need to be speaking to a potential team around now. |
| St Vincents Lotto brought to you by Staffords Funeral Home. |
| | Lotto Jackpot, 2 October 2023. Jackpot was €8,200 and there was no jackpot winner. The winner of the weekly prize of €100 was Ronnie Wilson. Next week's jackpot will be €8,350. That could get you a nice Golf TDi, a Suziki GXF 1000, or 2 weeks for 2 in a 5 Star Resort in the Seychelles. |

We're in the Senior Camogie Final - Ticket details |
| Well, actually, we're already Junior 5 champs. We're in an intermediate and senior final, but the senior one is the only ticketed one; So here goes: The Senior 1 Camogie final will take place on Friday 13th October at 7:30 pm in Parnell Park. We're pitched against Naomh Jude, whom watchers of Dublin Camogie will know, we have met at this stage a number of times over the last few years. This game promises to be a nail-biting, close cracker. Last year's event was a super night in Parnell Park with a massive turnout; and another big turnout is expected. To their credit: The Dublin County board are offering 1 free mentor ticket with every 8 juvenile players attending, which is a great incentive for juvnile teams to go together. The county board are making it easy too. They state: "Mentors can then qualify for their free ticket by completing The Ticket Registration Form using the link below! Once we understand the requirements for each team, we will then email out the required tickets for each mentor (and their group of 8 players). " The closing date to apply is Tuesday 10th October. To apply simply fill out the form at this link. |
| Big Club Fundraiser: Golf is now sold out! |
| A massive thanks to the big response to the big club fundraiser. I can announce that the Golf outing is now sold out. Business folks: Given the captive audience here, I would suggest that the sponsorship opportunities will be a good investment, and there are sponsorship offerings to meet most budgets. We're offering sponsor-a-hole at €100, Nearest the pin @ €200, Longest drive @ €300 and there's an option to be the main event sponsor at €1,000. If you're interested, head over to the online payments page where you can purchase sponsorship. In addition, we're open to donations of prizes for the golf, or the mega raffle. If your company can help, please contact Risteárd Brennan, or John McConnell. And of course, there's still the evening's entertainment. With such a well-attended golf day, we're expecting this to be a big night too - Ticket sales are ahead of expectations, so don't hesitate. |
| | And finally, a mega-raffle which offers your team a chance to cash in on ticket sales. Tickets for the raffle are €20 or 3 for €50, with over €10,000 worth of prizes. At the time of checkout, the purchaser will be prompted to state which team their ticket purchase is in support of: 20% of the value of the ticket will be donated directly to the team. The more tickets your team sells, the more money your team will make! Start selling your tickets by sending people to this link. |
| | Where do I go ? Well, I have mentioned it a couple of times above, but sure why not: |
| | Welcome, Capital Performance Physio. |
| We're delighted to be able to announce that Capital Performance Physio and Athletic Development, run by Moss Landman, have taken up residency in the club grounds. Moss is no stranger to GAA, having been physio with the Dublin Hurling team for 9 years, and more recently physio to the Dublin Ladies Team. Capital Performance has set up a state-of-the-art performance Physio facility at the back of the club and is offering a discount on its services to St Vincent's members. |

Champo Watch: The coming weekend |
| No senior games are down for this weekend. The biggest game is the meeting of our Minor Ladies footballers and Skerries Harps: The Division 2 Championship Final. |
| | A win in this game would be a big mark laid down by Ladies' football in St Vincents! Let's get a big turnout for this, and be the extra player. The game is on PNU2 this Saturday, throwing in at 3 p.m. Best of luck to the minor girls! What else do we have to look forward to ? U15 Camogie: Just before the minor game, the U15 Camogie team take on Whitehall on PNU2 in the Division 2 cup semi-final. U14 A Footballers are in a Shield quarter-final. Same time and day as their B counterparts; Saturday (7th) at 1:30 pm and will be played on St Davids. U14 B Footballers are in a Shield semi-final. That's also on Saturday (7th). It's on Ard Scoil Rís pitch, at 1:30 pm. The U16 A footballers play their final group stage game this weekend against Templeogue Synge Street; That's on PNU2 at 5 pm. The U16 B footballers play their final group stage game this weekend; that's also on Saturday, at 3 pm on Ard Scoil where they take on Lucan. Honourable mention: The Intermediate Footballers play at AFL4 relegation play-off away to Skerries at 5 pm on Saturday. We wish them all the best in their final battle of the season. Sunday is all about Junior football and Minor Hurling: Both Junior Football teams are in action. Good luck to : Junior A Footballers who take on Naomh Olaf away on Sunday 8th at 11:00 am in the Go Ahead Junior 2 All County Football Championship Semi-Final. Junior B Footballers who travel away to the bogies to play the Junior 3 All county Football Championship Shield. They take on Naomh Fionbarra at 11 am. The Minor A hurlers travel to Portmarnock to take on Naomh Mearnog in their final group stage game. That's at 11:00 am. The Minor B hurlers travel out to Shanganagh Park to take on Cuala in their final group stage game. As I read it, both of these are must-win games to go through to the knockout stages. Sunday also sees two Juvenile Camogie championship games. Good luck to U14 A Camogie team who also travel to play Cuala (1:30 pm) U14 B Camogie team to welcome Skerries harps to PNU2 at 1:30 pm. Ahhhhnd of course, amongst all of this, there's plenty of juvenile league games, so best of luck to every team this weekend. Our teams are travelling far and wide this weekend! Full details of all fixtures on the club website. |
