Enough about what isn't happening, how about what is happening?
Your Club Update
June 3, 2020

Glimmers of light?

I know. Everyone is eager to get back. The RTÉ website is reporting that the GAA are close to agreeing a "Return to Play" roadmap. Sounds like it will be published either towards the end of this week, or early next week. This does feel like a slight movement from the most recent press release issued just last Friday.
However, let's not get carried away; It's a roadmap. The association's cautious approach is to be commended: Put simply as the largest participatory sport in the country, any move on their behalf will result in behaviour change for a large number of people. Whilst I'd love to be on a sideline this weekend, I'd be happier knowing that we're not putting people's health ahead of anything else.
As last week: All club activities remain off. The club is closed until further notice. If there is anything of interest, I'll be sure to put something out on our social channels Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
if you want something included in the club notes, all you have to do is drop me a mail at pro@stvincentsgaa.ie.

Continuing to help those in our community

Our volunteer team is now actively helping a number of people on a regular basis at this point. Individual volunteers have been assigned to those who have seeked help to give them a sense of security and familiarity.
If you or a family member is in need of assistance, simply call or text Aoife Drumgoole on 087 947 6626 and she will co-ordinate one of the volunteer team to respond.

Lotto

No Lotto This Week.

Of course there wasn't. I was a bank holiday! Yis all know the drill at this stage.
Next week's lotto jackpot is €2,200
You can now play online with a quick online payment of a debit or credit card here. Thanks to all those who picked up a new subscription.

PNU1: STAY OFF THE GRASS!

Ah lads. Last week I explained in detail what's going on with repair work on PNU1. It's closed. It was with much dismay that I received a photo today of two Camogie players practising their frees on PNU1. One player in the goalmouth. Yes. The freshly laid, needs-to-knit goalmouth. Folks. Please - Stay off the pitches. PNU1 is repairing. PNU2 is locked.

Virtual Mini Leagues Runs Again This Saturday

Many thanks to all the families who have joined our virtual mini-leagues sessions.
Next Saturday will see another virtual mini-leagues. The session will be run 11:00am. Would you child like to take part? Simply sign up here. (If you signed up already there's no need to do it again). The team will follow up with an email with details on how to install Microsoft Teams and join the meeting. We hope to have a good crowd taking part.
For a view of the kinds of activities, our GPO Emma has prepared a video.
I was sent this wonerful picture of 6 year old Jessica Sugrue taking part in virtual mini leagues. I think it captures the energy of participation so well. Keep it up Jessica! (thanks to mammy Christina Fahey for the image).

Newsletter details

This newsletter is sent to over 1000 recipients and is a great way to inform members of club happenings. If you want anything included in the newsletter, drop a mail to pro@stvincentsgaa.ie. Comments and feedback are welcome too.

And finally..

I usually try to end on a light note, but I'm afraid I can't this week. I was sent this picture on Saturday. It was a drive-by collection point for the U14 Girls. They came by separately last week to pick up their Féile gear. Our wishes go out to our U14 Squads, who should have already played their Féile competiions.
