Club Notes, 30th September 2020

Still in Phase 3

A very quiet weekend last weekend, and one that's just as quiet coming. I'll keep this short, folks.
I'd like to tell you to keep an eye on our social channels Instagram, Twitter and Facebook, but I fear there won't be a lot to publish!
if you want something included in the club notes, all you have to do is drop me a mail at pro@stvincentsgaa.ie.

Lotto

Lotto draw 28st September 2020. Jackpot was €4,450. Numbers drawn were
15, 24, 18, 9
There was no Jackpot winner. Weekly winner was Michael Woods.
Next week's jackpot is €4,600. Remember you can purchase Lotto Subscriptions here. €4,600 would give the house a nice lick of paint, or maybe some new carpets, or a whole set of kitchen appliances.  Can you imagine?

Cracker of a golf outing

A big thanks to everyone who came out to the Ryder Cup event last Saturday in Donabate. Some nice pictures over on Facebook. A great turnout with a total of 48 players. The weather stayed good and for a few short hours, we pretended that everything was normal. Golf is one game that can be played socially distanced. Well, I say "Golf". I mean, I brought around a set of clubs and a trolley, I walked the 18 holes, but I'm not sure what I played could be construed as golf. Suffice to say, if you drank the points I won, you'd still be under the limit.
For the record, team Adult was the winning team. Let's do it again next year.
Thanks to all who made it happen: Richie and Philip Conway, and Glenn Jordan were the driving force behind the idea. Deirdre King-Nolan and Aoife Drumgoole brought the sales in. Thanks folks!

G'wan the Junior 2's: Big Final at the weekend

The Junior 2 Hurling team contest the Junior G hurling final this weekend. It's on in O'Toole park on Sunday at 3:30pm. As per the guidelines, this will be behind closed doors. The opposition, Thomas Davis are streaming it live on their Facebook page. Note: I saw a dodgy stream doing the rounds on Facebook during the week; Beware of Facebook events that don't look like they are set up either by Thomas Davis, our ourselves. Ignore, and give it a wide berth. I'll put out the link just before throw in on our social channels. Best of luck Junior 2!

Virtual Club Gear Ordering Night - Coming Soon

Usually, at this time of year, we'd be organising a club gear ordering night. We're aware that a new training top or track suit make for ideal presents later in the year.  Of course, with current restrictions we cannot organise a club gear night, but instead the GAA store will run a virtual event in the coming weeks. Keep an eye out - we'll make sure to let you know.

This week's matches

Only two other games down this weekend, so let's hollar at them both:
  • Our intermediate hurlers take on Naomh Olaf in the Intermediate Hurling Cup final this Saturday at 5:30pm on PNU1.
  •  Our Junior Camogie team take on Naomh Maur at 12:30pm on Sunday on PNU2

We all saw "that photo" of Conal Keany getting to know John Small in the Dublin Senior Football championship final. Comedian Josh Pray explains it to Americans.
