Important information about registrations | Folks - Please note that in order to be insured and to play, all players must be registered with the GAA, LGFA or Camogie Association via Foireann. Some important points: If you pay your membership fee, you don't need to do anything more - We push all paid-up members through to Foireann to register them. - LGFA's registration runs to 31 March 2024, so if you were registered with the LGFA last year, you're still registered.
- The Camogie Association registration also runs to 31 March 2024; so last year's registration is also still in force.
- The GAA's registration for 2023 ended on 31/12/2023, so any players playing this weekend need to have their membership paid; we'll continue to push any new members through to Foireann over the weekend.
Get yourselves in quick! Mentors: If you have a special request, let me know and I'll try my best to get to them. I recommend sending an email to pro@stvincentsgaa.ie and copying secreatary.stvincents.dublin@gaa.ie Mentors who will need team sheets over the weekend are advised to log on to Foireann and ensure their teams are set up correctly. Please do this sooner rather than later! Players: If you haven't paid your membership, you need to do so ASAP!

All Stars - Going from Strength to Strength | All Stars programme began as a pilot in 2021 with a mission to provide children of varying needs and abilities a team they could call their own. Thie programme proved very successful and has grown from strength to strength. Parents with children with additional needs are invited to bring their children to come along and join in. We cater for children from ages 5 to 14, and importantly, do not require parents to take up an active role (though they are welcome!); We see this as an opportunity for the child to enjoy the environment independently, and allow the parents to simply sit back and enjoy. Sessions are 40 miuntes long, on Friday evenings, beginning at 5:00 pm. All of our volunteer mentors have taken disability awareness training and are garda vetted. If you have a child who would like to join, simply drop us a mail at allstars@stvincentsgaa.ie; We'll ensure that our training sessions are tailored to your child's needs. If you know anyone who might benefit from joining, please spread the word.

First Table Quiz of the year. |
Many thanks to the eagle-eyed readers who pointed out that the 9th of March is a Saturday, rather than a Friday as per last week's notes. To err, they say is human. Ahhhnway: The pub quiz in support of the Adult Ladies football team will take place on SATURDAY 9th March. Tickets are €10 each, or €40 for a table of 4. If you can't make it, and still want to support, you can do that too. Click to Purchase a ticket online |
U13 Jump to the big leagues! |
Congrats to the U13 Girls who played their first game as a 15-a-side squad last weekend. I'm delighted to report that there was no mention of a score. As is right and proper for U13, the only scores worth counting are the one that counts the smiles. Looks like we did ok. Well done U13s!! |

Senior Footballers Annual Fundraising Lunch |
Admittedly, this is the last-chance saloon for this one. Tomorrow (or today depending on how late we publish!) sees the annual Senior Football supporters lunch in Clontarf Castle. If you fancy coming alon at the last minute, a single place can be purchased at €100. If you're interested, drop a email to Ciaran Donohoe |
I guess with the notes coming out a day later than normal, I missed my chance to promote the footballers league game against Ballyboughal this evening. My apologies to the team and management - work commitments prevented me from meeting our usual Wednesday night publication. I guess alls well that ends well, with a good win. It's a football weekend, of course. Good luck to the Intermediate Footballers who take on St Brendans in Grangegorman. That's on at 12:15 on Sunday afternoon. The junior footballers are also in action at this time, when they head up the road to St Davids to take on Caraobh Chiarain. For the minor boys, they have a hurling weekend. Good luck to the Minor A, who meet Na Fianna at 11:00 am on Sunday morning, on the Ard Scoil Rís Gerry O'Brien pitch. Both other teams are also playing at 11:00 on Sunday; Minor B take on St Judes over in Tymon park, and the Minor C play away to Ballyboden. Minor Ladies The minor Ladies start their league season this weekend. Good luck to Minor A take on Thomas Davis on Saturday, 2 March at 3pm, away on Kiltipper Road. Minor B who are at home on Saturday at 3pm, against St Brigids. |

I was sent this picture of an U9 training session during the week |
Ah here. Talk about notions! There's a U9 manager somewhere who's in for a surprise when he goes to the treasurer looking for funding for GPS units. |
