New Gear Range for 2021

We are delighted to announce the extension of our agreement with the GAA store who will now become the sole supplier of both playing and leisure wear.

Early last year, McKeever Teamwear, the manufacturing wing of the GAA Store secured licensing rights with the GAA, paving the way to allow them to supply official club and county playing gear.

Having one supplier means we can streamline our ordering for both teams and individuals.
In line with this announcement, we are proud to unveil our range of playing, training and leisure wear for 2021.

We will have a club ordering event on July 3rd. Team ordering can begin immediately, by dropping a mail to clubgear@stivincentsgaa.ie with details of your order.
Check out the range below

A new look for Ladies Football

Given this momentous year, where we launched our first ever Adult Ladies Football Team, we’ve taken the time to reflect and decided, effective immediately to make a change to our Ladies football shorts for all age groups.
Ladies Football commenced in St. Vincents in 2013 and has grown in large numbers ever since.
In 2021, we established our 1st Adult Ladies football team, and this will lead the way for all juveniles coming up behind them.
All ladies club shorts will now be blue and will continue to carry our crest with 2 stripes. The ladies shorts are included in the image below.

Niamh Adamson, Ladies Football Director:

"I'm delighted that all of our St Vincent's girls will be wearing the new club blue shorts as they represent St Vincent's at both juvenile and adult football levels into the future. This starts a new & exciting phase for St Vincents Ladies Football."

Our juvenile section will be running summer skills sessions which take place between July 19th and August 4th. Here's what you need to know:

St Vincents Ryder Cup: Save the Date

With restrictions beginning to lift we have provisionally booked a golf outing for this year. This will be held on Friday the 24th of September in Donabate golf club. So put the date in your diary. It will be the same format as last year where two teams, one representing the juvenile section and the other representing the adults section.  We will flesh out details closer to the time. Here's hoping we can even get together after the event.

Problems with Foireann? Just drop me a note

Most of our initial teething problems with Foireann seem to be thinning out, but if you are having any trouble - drop me a note.  There are a couple of common issues which I'm able to solve pretty easily, so don't suffer in silence! If something isn't working as you expect, send me an e-mail with a description of the problem, and I'll see if I can help.

Louise Lynch Memorial Bursary - Year 3

Wow.  It doesn't feel so long since I announced the recipient of last year's Louise Lynch Memorial Bursary Award.  It's that time of year again.  For those of you who may be new to Vincents:
Louise Lynch was a dear friend, and a long-time member of St Vincents.  We lost her sadly to illness in 2019, and shortly after her passing, her friends in St Vincents were eager to put in a place a fitting tribute in her memory, and the Louise Lynch Memorial Bursary was created.

The Louise Lynch Bursary is a financial package aimed at helping a club mate get their start as they embark on third level education. The Bursary:
  • Is for €1,000 paid in two instalments of €500.
  • Is awarded to a Camogie or Ladies Football player who is entering Third level education.
  • Is funded completely by friends and former team-mates of Lilo to honour her commitment to St Vincents.
  • Will run for a minimum of three years (began in 2019)

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify to apply you must:
  • Be a playing member of St Vincents, playing either Camogie or Ladies Football.
  • Be entering Third level education for the first time at time of application.
  • Not be in receipt of another third level bursary or scholarship.
  • Note: Members who are entering Third level as a mature student are eligible to apply.

Watch this space.  We'll set up the application form and publish more details next week!

If you plan on starting 3rd level education this year - I highly recommend you enter!

It's Membership Renewal Time

With return to play, and even dates for games, we need to ensure everyone is registered with the GAA, LGFA and Camogie Assocation; In order to do this, we need all memberships in!  You can renew your membership at this link.
Thank you to all who have renewed to date.  We've seen a good uptick in people sorting memberships since we've returned.

Newsletter details

This newsletter is sent to over 1000 recipients and is a great way to inform members of club happenings. If you want anything included in the newsletter, drop a mail to pro@stvincentsgaa.ie. Comments and feedback are welcome too.

And finally..

Camogie legend Germaine Noonan sent on this piece of skill. Being a TikTok, we aren't treated to the couple of hundred takes it may have taken to get right. But if you see him, we should sign him up for the junior hurling panel.
