"Float like a butterfly"

A full schedule of games this weekend, and a number of items to get through, and our big fundariaser is now on sale. So no faffing around this week, let's get straight to it.
if you want something included in the club notes, all you have to do is drop me a mail at pro@stvincentsgaa.ie.

Boxing Event Now on Sale

Our big fundraising event for this year is now on sale. "Boxing at Vins" is a one-night event at the club on 21 March. There's a buch of club members who are busting a gut for your entertainment, in what promises to be a packed, fun filled night.
This is primarily a fund raising event, and there's a number of ways you can support.
1. Attend the event. Tickets are on sale at https://vins.ie/box. (Hint: If you know a boxer, speak to them for a discount off the admission ticket.)
2. Help with corporate sponsorship. Each bout will have a bout sponsor, and each boxer will have an individual sponsor. Would your company sponsor? Download the sponsor document for information on sponsor packages, and if you think you can help secure a sponsorship, please let us know.
3. Help with individual sponsorship. Each boxer will raise funds by asking friends and family to sponsor them individually - The boxer may be representing your team, or your child's team; each line they fill on their card is a show of support for the boxer.
Over the coming week's we'll introduce the boxers so you can look out for someone you know who's taking part.

Operation Transformation Walks Complete

Many thanks for the great numbers who showed up for the Operation Transformation walks. With the TV show coming to an end this week, our last walk was held this evening. A shout out to Denise O'Neill, Deirdre King-Nolan and Natalie L'Estrange for getting behind this initiative, and leading the troops on the walks. Turnout was fantastic, and its great to see people coming together in St Vincents for a community event. Well done all.

Thanks also to Zumba Deb!

While I'm talking about Operation Transformation, the club would also like to thank our resident Zumba instructor, Deborah McMorrow. Deb ran free Zumba classes on Saturdays throughout the Operation Transformation period. Please note that there's a Zumba class every Thursday (see here for Facebook Event) at 7pm in the club hall. It's €7 to take part, and is pay as you go, so no big commitment necessary.  Ever fancy giving it a go? Rock up on Thursday and join in.  If you want to know anything about the class, you can contact Deb direct on 0868151291.

Are you planning a function? We host Chirstenings, Weddings, Birthdays and Funeral receptions in the club. If you're interested in booking club facilities, drop a mail to Michelle in the office with your details, and she'll take it from there.

4th Adult Hurling Team!

It's great to see we have the numbers to field a second Junior Hurling Team. They got their season off to a start last weekend, competing in AHL9 against Clontarf. Whilst not victorious on this occasion, they fought well, had a few great goal opportunities but lost out by a few points. I'm told it had a mix of "young, not-so-young and ancient". We fielded 20 players on the day, many of which hadn't hurled for several years. Good skills on show, great fun had by all, they look forward to doing it all again in two weeks' time. Well done lads. #clubisfamily!

Wait. Is it nearly Easter Already?

A quick munch on a few pancakes the other day can only mean one thing: Easter is already less than 40 days away. So, we turn our attention to our Easter Camp.
Easter camp will run from Monday 6th April to Thursday 9th April from 10:00 am to 2:00pm. To purchase a place on easter camp, visit https://vins.ie/ec2020.

And finally..

What's the chances of two senior inter-county goalkeepers having the same name? Yeah, I'd I've thought 0 too. As I'm sure did Mrs Comerford...of Tipp.
