Don't worry, I'll change the record in a couple of weeks' time when various sections are all in the thick of their championship campaigns. But this week, it is the Camógs who start their campaign. It's a Football weekend for the men, and I've news of an upcoming social night. Who loves a bit of nostalgia? If that's you read on. |

| | On Saturday 2nd of September, the club bar will be alive with music from the 60s through to today. DJ Brian Page presents "Bringing Back the Years" See y'all there! |
| | Are you one of our Gym users? Do you use the resistance bands? Maybe you accidentally forgot to leave it behind? Two resistance bands are missing from the Gym; They're hugely important for prehab and rehab, and many of our players rely on using them. Please have a check in your bag, and quietly drop them back if you have them. Here's what they look like: |
| | New Club Gear Now On Sale |
| | McKeever are now taking orders on new training and leisure wear. Some nice quarter zips and more. The order portal is open from now until 3 September. Put your order in here. |
| Gourmet food Parlour Competition |
| Our friends over in Gourmet Foot Parlour are running a competition for players aged 4-14. The prize is a place in a kickabout with Brian Fenton. From their post: "The Kickabout will take place on Saturday 16th September and is going to be an amazing day with a pro training session, custom jerseys, food & drink and photo opportunities all included! (and a few surprises along the way!)" If you'd like to nominate your child, head over to their Facebook post or their Instagram post and follow the instructions. |
| | 2 Senior Games this weekend |
| Both the senior footballers and senior 1 camogie team are in championship action this weekend. |
| | The Camógs have the opening match on Sunday morning when they play Lucan Sarsfields over in 12th Lock at 10:30 am. This is their championship opener - so all support is welcomed! |
| | Later that day, the Senior football head over to Lorcan O'Toole park where they take on St Judes. That game throws in at 2:00 pm. Note that this game is ticketed (get yours here), U16s go free. I've no word on DubsTV streaming yet, but I expect it to be. Can't be 100% on this, but all other games in the SFC so far seem to be streamed. |

And they aren't the only ones |
| We wish all the best to our 3 Camogie Teams who open their championship campaigns this weekend. I've already mentioned our Seniors, but there's also: Intermediate Camogie who travel to St Anne's to meet Raheny at 12:30 on Sunday. Junior Camogie, who travel to St Maurs (Thursday 24th. 6:45 pm) who open the Camogie weekend for us. Best of luck also to the U16 Camogie team who open their Division 2 Championship campaign on Friday 25th, when they meet Faughs/Celtic at home on PNU2. That throws in at 6:45 pm. The Intermediate footballers head over to Russell Park on Saturday evening to take on St Brigids at 6:15 pm, and the Juniors are also in action: Junior A footballers, contesting the Junior 2 Football Championship are away in Ballycullen at 11:00 on Sunday morning where they take on Ballyboden St Endas. Junior B footballers, contesting the Junior 3 Football Championship who have a home encounter also at 11:00 on Sunday; That's on PNU1 against Ballyboughal. And as I often mention, you can always look up upcoming games on our fixtures page. |
| | Good win tonight for our Ladies' A team who are playing in the Junior B Championship. They had a convincing win over Castleknock (2-7 to 0-1) Well done also to the Intermediate Hurlers who had a good win over Kilmacud Crokes last Saturday: 2-16 (22) 0-19 (19). Commiserations to Junior A hurlers who had a loss to Castleknock in the Junior B Hurling Championship Well done to the Junior B hurlers who defeated Whitehall Colmcille last Sunday in the Junior E Hurling Championship: 1-20 (23) to 2-11 (17) |

Reader and coach Danny Moriarty sent me in this picture of Vinnies players Aymon, Sami and Yacob Salemeh. Looks like they were snatched up on the international transfer market while on holiday in Edinburgh visiting their grandmother, where they have been lining out for Dunedin Connollys |
| | Hats off boys. We're all for keeping your skills honed in the off-season; Just make sure you're back in PNU as soon as you return! |
