Good start for the Hurlers, and all Ireland Ticket Info |

The hurlers had a great opening game in the championship last weekend. This weekend has no fixtures; I'm guessing that's to do with the fact that the All-Ireland Hurling Final is on. I have news of the All Ireland Football final tickets (admit it, it's the only reason you opened this right?), and we're going to ask your opinion on what the club should invest in. |

| | There was no Jackpot winner. Winner of the weekly prize of €100 was Eddie Glackin. |
| | Sports Capital Grant: We'd like your ideas |
| We're delighted to have completed our latest capital project, which is an upgrade to our flood lights. This was a replacement of all flood lights and controllers with a modern system based on LED technology. This provides more light and does so at much-reduced costs. This project was only possible with the aid of the government's sports capital grants. Last week, the government announced a new set of sports capital grants for 2023; full details can be found here. With this in mind, we're asking our members to have their say. If you'd like to suggest what the club should invest in next, please fill out our survey at this link. Please note that capital projects are subject to the club being awarded a grant, and always require the club to raise partial funds to complete the project; so obviously, there are no guarantees here - but we are interested in understanding where the members think the investment should go. |
| Senior Hurlers ticket draw made |
| The senior hurlers wish to thank the many members who entered their fund-raising draw for a chance to win 2 All Ireland Hurling tickets for this weekend's game. Congratulations to Luke Herron whose name was drawn out. Enjoy the game, Luke. |
| Man with a Van (and some big muscles) required |
| The club has been donated a piano which we intend to install in the club bar. Can you help? The piano needs to be collected locally, in Annadale. It is 2m wide, so we'll need a van and some muscle. If you can help, please contact Mark Nolan at 087 383 0990. As Mark himself puts it "up the stairs will be the challenge". Yes, indeed. Memories of "you hum it, I'll play it, son" spring to mind. |

| From a tweet on Dublin City Council's account: "To everyone with a connection to the #Marino estate, please come and share your memories and memorabilia at the next Marino Show and Tell event with Abarta Heritage on Saturday 22 July from 2-4.30pm Carleton Hall, Shelmartin Ave, D03 X684." |

Tickets for the All-Ireland Football Final |
| It's that time of year again! Congratulations to the Dubs for making it to the final, which takes place on Sunday 30th July, in Croke Park, throwing in at 3:30 pm. The process is slightly different from before, so listen up, folks. The club allocation always falls short of the demand for an All-Ireland Final. Because of this, we will hold a draw for a chance to purchase a single ticket. This will work as follows:
- If you would like to be in with a chance, fill in your details at this link: https://vins.ie/sfc23
- Please note that this is only open to fully paid-up, full members of CLG Naomh Uinsionn, and is limited to one entry per member.
- The draw will be held in the Club on Thursday, 27th July, starting at 8:30 pm.
- If your name is drawn, you will be given a password for a Ticketmaster account, allowing you to purchase a single Stand Ticket (€90) or a single Terrace Ticket (€50).
- Stand or Terrace will be the choice of the drawee, on a "while stocks last" basis.

| | | Last weekend was the opening of the adult hurling championships. Congratulations to the Senior hurlers who had a great opener against Na Fianna, coming out 1-18 to 1-12 winners. Our own Grainne McKinney was present at the game and got some great shots. You can view them over on Facebook here. Dublin GAA has a write up in their weekly round up. And if you'd like to watch it again, the game is still available to view on the Dubs TV channel on YouTube. |

| Not to be outshone, the Intermediate hurling team also had a great opener. Their game against St Brigids ended in a 2-10 to 0-6 win. Our Junior A hurlers weren't as lucky; they suffered a big defeat at the hands of Whitehall Colmcille in the Junior B championship. The final score was 5-13 to 1-10 Well done to the Junior B hurlers; they also took on Na Fianna and won (1-19 to 2-13) in the Junior E championship. Our Ladies' football B team also continue their run of form in the Junior I championship. They had a good win over Round Towers, Lusk on Monday night, winning by 4-8 to 2-9. |
| So, how is this weekend stacking up? |
| With the All-Ireland Hurling final on, there are no competitive games down in the fixtures this weekend. I've no doubt that some mentors will arrange some challenge games, but this sounds like a lie-in weekend for some of the parents to me! The next round of the hurling championships take place next Tuesday. Supporters please note that this is a change from previously advertised. Our schedules are worked out on Mondays, so these fixtures are not up on our fixture page yet: |
| | The senior hurlers play their second group stage game next Tuesday, the 25th when they meet Ballyboden St Endas in Parnell park. As with all senior games, this is a ticketed event. Tickets are on sale now at this location. If you cannot make it, the game will be streamed live on DubsTV. The link is not out yet - but keep an eye on Dublin GAA's Twitter, where it will be published before the game. So, also on next week are: The Intermediate Hurlers travel to Pearse Park on Wednesday 26th, to take on Crumlin; Throw-in is at 7:15 pm The Junior A Hurlers take on Civil Service Hurling at home at 7:15 pm on Tuesday 25th. The Junior B Hurlers play St Joseph's OCB on Thursday 27th in Fairview, also at 7:15 pm. Monday 24th at 7:30 pm sees our Ladies' B football team take on Thomas Davis at home. |

This week saw former Vincents Camogie player (and current supporter!) Carmel Drohan being interviewed on the Pat Kenny show on Newstalk to talk about how she became a stage 4 cancer survivor. From the show notes: "Carmel was diagnosed with bowel and lung cancer and referred to the mater hospital from 2015-2020. While in the matter she was treated by surgeons, one of who was a school friend, Prof Ann Brannigan. Both Carmel and Ann joined Pat in the studio this morning." |
| | We applaud Carmel for her open and honest interview which you can read about here. If you'd like to listen to the interview, it can be found at this link. Bualadh Bos Carmel! |
