Club Notes, 18th May 2022

Everywhere you look, there's a game

Jaypers, it was all go last weekend. The Dubs (hurlers) in Parnell park, the footballers in Croker, and a full set of games on our timetable.  Hats off to those who manage to squeeze all these calendars together and for the most part, make them all fit. Kudos to our own Michelle who pulls our schedule together, and the games directors who support her as she tries fitting everything in. I bet she's great at tetris.
Turns out tonight was not a bad night; a couple of hot-off-the-press results to talk about.

Mini Leagues end on June 18th

The headline kinda says it all.  Mini leagues will take it's summer break - the last mini leagues fo the season will be on June 18th.  The question on everyone's lips seems to be "will there be summer camps".  The answer to this is yes.  Keep an eye on social media for updates.  I don't have full information at this point in time!

Ladies football roundup

Well done to our minor ladies, who finished their league campaign with a win over Lucan.  They've finished second in Division 1 Minor Ladies league.  This is a great achievement for such a young ladies football club.

Nutrition Talk

On Saturday, 23 April last, Senior Footballer, Dr. Brendan Egan gave a talk to juvenile players and parents on the importance of Nutrition.  If you missed the session, a recording of the talk can be viewed here.

Best of Luck to Ava Lambe who is lining out for Dublin Minor Ladies Football against Kildare this Saturday 21st May in TU Blanchardstown. This game is ticketed. Full details at this tweet

Mentors: Am I missing anyone?  if one of your players is lining out at county, drop me a mail, and I'll make sure to give them a shout out.

This weekend's action

Also hot off the press - Senior Footballers had a good win over Lucan this evening (3-13 to 1-11); and to top it off, the Intermediate footballers were also victorious over the same opposition (0-12 to 0-08)

The big game at the weekend is our senior football home clash with Cuala. That throws in a 6:30pm on Saturday on PNU1.

And finally..

It finally feels like some of normality has come back into life. And such a welcome it is too.  I was sent this photo of the U11 boys team, who got out to support Dublin in the Leinster semi final v Meath last Sunday.  I wish this level of joy when going to a game to all our readers.
