Short newsletter this week as all activity is cancelled
Your Club Update
March 18th, 2020

This one will be short

What a difference a week makes. Last week we were taking about "business as usual" until we knew better. Well. We know better now.
All club activities are now off. The club is effectively closed until further notice. So, not much to report. If there is anything of interest, I'll be sure to put something out on our social channels Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
if you want something included in the club notes, all you have to do is drop me a mail at pro@stvincentsgaa.ie.

Helping those in our community

On Monday we put out the above notice. It both offered help, and looked for volunteers. I can report that the response for volunteers has been amazing. We now have a full team of people willing to help people in our parishes that may need assistance. This is wonderful. Being in a club is more than what happens on the pitch. Naomh Unisionn Abú!
If you or a family member is in need of assistance, simply call or text Aoife Drumgoole on 087 947 6626 and she will co-ordinate one of the volunteer team to respond.

Lotto - Jackpot Won!

Amidst all this, we have some good news!

03, 10, 15, 21
Jackpot was won by Tom Boland! Well done Tom! Weekly winner was Peter McDonnell
Next week's lotto jackpot reverts to €1,000

Club restrictions are necessarily strict - We need your co-operation

Despite announcing the cessation of activities, we've still had a number of groups of juvenile members gathering in the club. While we understand that players may wish to get out for a kick or puc about, we cannot encourage or permit gatherings of numbers of our members. We all must play our part in preventing the spread of Covid-19 and in protecting our vulnerable family members and neighbours. Any players using the club grounds in numbers may be asked to leave. We hope we can rely on the diligence of parents and guardians to discourage such gatherings.
Please also note that any person using the all-weather pitch when the gates are locked will be asked to leave and will be subject to the disciplinary procedures of the club.

I suppose you could consider a rebounder for the back garden

I know the kids are already itching to get back on the pitch. Our club gear supplier, the gaastore.com were on to us to say they have stock of rebounders and have reduced the price. You can buy online here . May be just the thing for the back garden.  Fresh air, and keeping the skills up. Not bad eh?

Newsletter details

This newsletter is sent to over 1000 recipients and is a great way to inform members of club happenings. If you want anything included in the newsletter, drop a mail to pro@stvincentsgaa.ie. Comments and feedback are welcome too.

And finally..

In lieu of our (now postponed) AHL1 clash against Faughs at the weekend, we challenged them to a game of Connect-4 over on twitter. You can follow the thread here. I was pretty pleased with the result until Shamo reminded me "championship connect-4 was never won in March".
