I know last week we suffered a couple of defeats, but I was pleasantly surpirsed to see the number of teams still in championship, so its not all doom and gloom; Still many teams representin'

Mentors: Keep sending me scores

While goverment restrictions continue on games attendance, we'll continue to put out any and all scores out on social media. Even if the game is a challenge match, remember that parents/guardians may be eager to know whats going on, and there's no harm in players getting their time in the sun! So, whatsapp me those scores, and I'll put them up.

I announced the "Ryder Cup" style golf outing a couple of weeks back. Last weekend I noticed I was fielding a number of "tell me more" questions. So, I've put everything in an easy to read "Questions and Answers" page on the club website.

Martin Fogerty hurling coaching

This evening, the U11 squad took part in a thouroughly entertaining and informative hurling coaching session given my Kilkenny's Martin Fogerty. A former member of Brian Cody's coaching staff, Martin is a super coach with a knack for keeping the sessions fun, ensuring kids learn skills whilst enjoying themselves. A number of coaches turned up to learn from a true hurling Master.

A good win for the U16 A Camogie team last night sees them through to the U16 Division 1 final. A convincing win of 7-11 to 3-04 over Raheny. Well done girls. If we were allowed, we'd be there to cheer you on. Best of luck in the upcoming final!

As championship season marches on, the number of teams still in will of course dwindle. Champo is harsh like that. Let's see who's still in championship action this weekend. Of course folks, all games continue to be behind closed doors. Juvenile games mean one parent only in a supervisory capacity. Best of luck to:
- The U14 A Squad. They're in Féile na nGael action this weekend - out in Tymon North against Faughs.
- The U14 B Squad. Also in Féile na nGael this weekend - They take on O'Dwyers, out in Bremore park.
- The U14 B Ladies Football team. The also contest Football Féile. They're away to Clontarf on Sunday.
- The U15 Hurling team. They're in their championship Quarter Final against Skerries Harps. That's down for Sunday at home on PNU1.
- The U16 A boys who contest their championship hurling Semi Final against Fingallians
- The U16 B Boys who contest their championship group game, against Fingallians B.
- The Minor B Footballers. They're in the Minor B Football Championship Quarter Final against Parnells. That's on PNU2 on Sunday morning.
- The Junior Camogie team who take on St Maurs on Sunday afternoon in their championship Semi Final. (PNU2).
- Our Junior Hurlers. They meet St Monicas in the Semi Final of the Junior G Hurling Championship.
As before - I'm afraid you can't go, and I'm sorry if I haven't listed your game! Mentors: Get the scores to me, and I'll post them over the weekend.

Both minor hurling teams bowed out of championship last weekend. For the second-year minors, this marks the end of a long road, where they'll be dispersed amongst various adult squads next year. With a son on this team, I've followed the B squad seeing their progression as players throughout the years. I can say hand on heart that they are great ambassadors for their club, playing with heart in every game.
