| | | | One last shout-out: Tomorrow (or Today, if you're reading this on Thursday) sees the club hosting the Annual General Meeting. All full members should have received an AGM pack containing all reports, financial statements and information on motions. The AGM is an important item in the club calendar, and we require a quorum in order to have the meeting proceed. I would encourage all those people who can make it to please come along; Thursday 17th, 8 pm in the club hall. See you all there. |

| | | | Winter Fundraiser - Last chance! | |
| OK, Folks. This is the last time I get to talk about this one: The big juvenile fundraiser/charity appeal happens this Friday (18th). The Golf is fully sold out, but there are still tickets for the evening event, including the charity auction. I spotted this little vehicle in the club lobby yesterday. This might bring a few girls to the yard, wha? |
| | | |
| Tickets are available here, and we look forward to a great evening. Remember also, you can bid online for the charity auction. Amazing stuff in there - Katies Gloves, and a fantastic super rare "decade of the dubs" set of signed photos. |
| | | |
| | | |
| For full details, head over to the auction page. Follow the instructions to make your bid! |
| | Race Night, 25th November - In aid of the U13s | |
| A week later, if you're more into having a flutter, the mentors for the U13 team are hosting a race night in the club bar on the 25th of November. Last week, I promised you more details. Turns out the details are simple: Turn up, have a flutter, enjoy the night. I'm told that ALL of the horses for the race night have been sponsored (well done U13 organising team!) so all that's left is to have a bit of craic. 'Nuff said. |

| U10 Footballers had a visit.. |
| The U10s were treated to a special visit this week when 3-time All-Ireland winner, Jennifer Dunne joined them for a GAA theory session. Jennifer was generous with her time and answered all of the team's questions, and signed their gear too. |
| | | U11 Lads: Getting their adventure on! | |
| Well done to the U11 boys and mentors who used their end-of-season availability to go for a fun day away to Squirrel's Scramble, located at Killruddery House & Gardens, Bray, Co Wicklow. They climbed, zip lined, did a spot of archery, and still managed to get a bit of football in at the end of the day. Congratulations boys. |
| | | |
| | Well done to the U14 girls who hosted a challenge game with the Thomastown U14 Camogie team who had come along to support their club in the Leinster Semi-final. A close game, which our girls pipped played in great spirits. We thank Thomastown for bringing a big crowd to their game last weekend |

| | Camogie: On to the Leinster Final | |
| | | |
| OK. I'll get to this. But first a quick recap of last weekend. Our first Camogie game out of the county was against Thomastown, the Kilkenny Champions. A formidable task indeed. At this level, each stage of the competition means a step up and our girls stood up to meet the challenge. A cracking first half with goals from Ali Maguire, Ash Maher (from a free!), Muireann Kelliher and Niamh Hetherton meant we went into the break 4-5 to 0-6 ahead. The second half was a more evenly matched affair, but deep into injury time, Ash scored another goal, and the final score was a convincing 5-11 to 1-11. For Kilkenny's people's write up see here. Daire Walsh wrote a short piece on it too. We now look forward to a quick turnaround: The Leinster FINAL is on this Sunday (20th) at 1:30 pm at South-East Technology University, Carlow. This is the same location where we last won Leinster, but we'll take little solace from that. The opposition is Oulart The Ballagh of Wexford, who last weekend, had a similarly convincing win over their opposition, Birr of Offaly (5-16 to 1-7). Supporters, please note that the game is ticketed: Tickets can be purchased here. We hope to have a good crowd at the game this weekend - Please get out and support! |

| | This weekend is all about the finals. There are 3 finals down for this weekend. We'll get to these soon, but let's see how last weekend went: Hard luck to the U16A team who were defeated by Castleknock in the U16 A Football semi-final. A close game with just 3 points in it at the end, but a difficult defeat I'm sure.
We also commiserate the U17's who were defeated in their "B" hurling championship final at the hands of Naomh Barróg. Barróg were well drilled and some fine players that ultimately gave them an extra gear over us, but we shouldn't lose sight of the achievement that is making it to the final. The move to U17/U19 has been much discussed over the past year, and our team were challenged in numbers and generously helped by the U16s; Well done to the U17 team for going so far. The two other games down last weekend were the aforementioned Camogie semi-final (win!) and the U19 "B" Hurling Final, which was moved to this weekend. And so, here's what's on offer for you to support this weekend. The U16s: The B team play the next round in their round-robin championship. Best of luck to them as they head to Dolphin Park on Saturday (10:30 am) to play an in-form St Kevins. Later that day, the U16A Welcome Kilmacud Crokes to Ard Scoil Rís where they'll contest the U16 "A" Hurling FINAL. Throw-in is at 3:00 pm The U19 Hurlers play their "B" Hurling Championship FINAL on Sunday morning at 11:00 am when they welcome Commercials to Ard Scoil Rís. We wish the U19s all the best. And of course, the Senior Camogie team travel to South-East Technology University, Carlow to play in the Leinster Club Championship FINAL against Oulart the Ballagh of Wexford. This throws in at 1:30 pm. My plan is to attend this and provide score-by-score updates on Twitter if you can't make it. |
