The 3 In One Fundraiser starts this Friday |
| | Really good take up now for the big event on Friday. Remember: the day kicks off with a game of golf in Clontarf Golf club. But that's just the curtain raiser! The big social event in the club hall kicks off later in the evening, with Spring Break taking to the stage to provide the entertainment. This is going to be a cracker. This is your last chance to get a ticket - I can see us having to close sales today or tomorrow. |
| | How's the mega-raffle sales chart going? Another good week of sales, and we thank everyone for their efforts. The big Mega-Raffle now has two sponsors: The 1884, who will house the actual draw on December 29, and Mail Metrics. Let's see how the teams are faring in terms of sales: 1. U8 Boys (=1) 2. U11 Boys (↓1) 3. U12 Boys (=3) 4. U9 Boys (↑5) 5. U11 Girls (=5) 6. U10 Boys (↑10) 7. Minor Ladies Football (NEW ENTRY) AND U10 Girls (↑8) AND U13 Boys (NEW ENTRY) 10. U14 Boys (NEW ENTRY) Remember, if your team isn't showing here - that suggests that folks have yet to purchase; Also remember that 20% of the ticket revenue in your teams name will be given to the team. So mentors: keep encouraging! Here's a link which just contains tickets to the mega raffle. |

And, of course, the Leinster Final |

| Our big game for this weekend is the AIB Leinster Senior Camogie Club Final. Here's everything you need to know: - The game will be played in Netwatch Cullen Park. O'Brien Rd, Rathnapish, Carlow this Sunday, November 19th.
- Throw in is at 2:45 pm. Note that the curtain raiser for this game is the intermediate Camogie final between O'Moores (Laois) and Na Fianna of Meath at 12:45. Both games are set to produce results on the day, so if the earlier game goes to extra time, our game will be pushed out.
- The game is ticketed, and tickets can be purchased online at this link.
- Parking on the day should be outside the pitch adjacent to Netwatch Cullen Park, or Carlow Town HC on Oak Park Road. See a tweet from Leinster Camogie here.
I haven't heard if this game is being streamed, but I am reliably informed that KCLR FM will have commentary live. I know this because I heard them promoting the game, and they are pushing for a big support from Kilkenny. So, folks. Let's get down there in the White and Blue!! |
| | | At the risk of sounding repetitive, we need to remind all members and parents about parking restrictions in the environs of St Vincents, particularly in neighbouring areas of Charlemont and Casino park, and in MIE. MIE are great neighbours who grant us access to their pitches when they are not in use. This agreement however explicitly does NOT extend to use of their car parking facilities. At this time of the year, their car parking spaces are at a premium for College business; The college runs exams at the weekends and have a number of open days coming up too. They have been in touch to ask us to emphasise to our members that MIE's car park must not be used; and despite indivduals being informed, we're aware of some folks ignoring the message and parking anyway. So, please folks: if you are dropping, please drop via our club car park. If you are staying, please use our car park only. If you live nearby, please consider walking or cycling to the club. |
| | We wish the best of luck to Senior Footballer Albert Martin, who is taking part in a mini-marathon this weekend. This is his first big run after time off due to injury; We hope it goes well! |

|
| Well done to our AFL9 (Junior B Footballers), who defeated Clann Mhuire convincingly (4-16 to 0-10) in their final game of the league. This secured them promotion, and they will now play in AFL8 next year. Nicely done, lads. |
| | Commiserations to both U21 football squads who were beaten in their outings. The U21 competions are straight knockouts, so there's no further games for them. Hard luck also the U14 Ladies football who were defeated in the U14 Division 2 Final. |
| | Still a couple of games to see out. Best of luck to: U16 A Hurlers - Who contest the U16 A Hurling semi-final when they travel to Silver Park to take on Kilmacud Crokes at 2:30 pm on Saturday (18th) U16 B Hurlers who also travel - they go to Bllycullen to take on Ballyboden St Endas in the U16 D Championship semi-final. That one is also on Saturday, throwing in a little earlier at 1pm. The U14 Hurlers who play a re-fixed U14 Division 1 Cup Semi-Final against Lucan Sarsfields out at 12th Lock. This is on Saturday 18th at 2:30m. |

This one nearly flew under my radar. Our U12 boys won the U12 league last month. Such an achievement; I've been told: "18 divisions, 150 teams. Every single one of the boys in this picture started in mini-leagues in 2016" They'll now continue their journey, heading into CCC2 next year. |

And, a big shout out to Bobby Harris (pictured right). Bobby was missing from the team photo as he had to miss the last 2 games due to injury, but I'm reliably informed he was instrumental in the other 5 games in the league. well done to Bobby, and the whole U12 team (and their mentors!) |
