Your Club Update
November 13, 2019

Big support necessary. Huge.

As the games continue to wind down, this doesn't mean yis can all head off into christmas retail for the next few weeks.  No siree. The volume may be dropping, but the importance goes up. And, we're hosgting a couple of social events too, which we'd love to see you at.
if you want something included in the club notes, all you have to do is drop me a mail at pro@stvincentsgaa.ie.

Camogie Leinster Final: This Sunday

This weekend sees our Senior Camogie team in the Leinster Camogie Final. (Facebook event here) The game is down for 2:30 pm this Sunday, and as luck would have it, it's being held not too far away in Donaghmore Ashbourne's GAA. We've a supporters coach going up, which is sold out, but with it just being a 30 miunte drive away, we'd hope that we'll get great support. So don your colours and join us up there. It promises to be a cracker as we take on the champions of Wexford, St Martins.

Annual General Meeting

The AGM has been set for Thursday 28th November 2019. The official notice of the AGM can be read here. We'd urge all members to come along and support the executive.

No Parking in MIE

At the risk of repetition: Access to MIE pitches is based on a kind agreement we have with our neighbours, and one that we cherish. It comes with a specfic understanding that MIE are sharing their pitches only, and does not include the use of their car parks. This time of year is very busy for MIE at weekends, with extra classes and examinations, and their car parks spaces are in high demand. They've expressed frustration at seeing St Vincents members using their car parks. We ask all of our mentors, members and parents to not enter MIE by car at any point; even dropping off can lead to congestion. If you have a game on MIE, please enter through PNU only.

Commiserations, Footballers

Commiserations to the Intermediate Footballers who were defeated in the AFL3 relegation play off. A mere 3 points was the difference, and they go back to AFL4 for next year. Also commiserations to our Senior Footballers who were beaten by Ballymun in the AFL1 semi final.

Live music this Saturday

This Saturday sees the club hosting live music from the Donal Kirk Band.  This will be live in the bar and promises to be a great night's entertainment. There's no cover charge.  I know a certain Minor squads mentors have their end of season drinks this weekend, and parents invited too, so there's going to be a core group heading down.  Promises to be a lively night.

The following weekend, November 23rd sees us hosting a comedy night in the club. 4 Comedians on one night, all for just €10 entry fee. Tickets are available at this link. Hope to see you there. Comedy in the club! Sure that sounds like great craic altogether.

Amongst our hosts was Conor Shields, former St Vincents player who moved to Clare many years back. He put out this wonderful tweet about his Kinvara daughter donning the St Vincents Blue and White
