We kick off Senior, Intermediate, Junior and ALF11 games this weekend.
Your Club Update
February 12th, 2020

And so, we're off!

I have to start with commiserations to the Junior Hurlers who were defeated in the All-Ireland Junior B Hurling Final Last weekend. It's been quite the journey.  And no rest for the wicked because they have to start their Dublin league campaign next weekend.  Phew!
This weekend sees the beginning of the Adult football leagues, with all 4 squads in action on Sunday. The seniors start their campaign at home this Sunday, so here's hoping we see you down for a bit of support.
if you want something included in the club notes, all you have to do is drop me a mail at pro@stvincentsgaa.ie.

This week's Lotto

Ah here. I don't have the lotto yet. But that shouldn't hold up the newsletter. I'll put two weeks into next week's one.

Operation Transformation walks still flyin'

We're maintaing great numbers on our operation transformation walks. They continue every Monday and Wednesday nights. Remember:
  • Meet at the club at 7:15
  • OPTIONAL Weigh ins each Monday before the walk
  • No charge - just show up and join in
  • Bring your friends, this isn't just for members; all are welcome.

Senior Football Management

As the senior footballers are opening their campaign this weekend, we're delighted to be able to announce the new management team in place:
Brian Mullins will be leading his management team consisting of Niall Moyna, Sean L'Estrange, Robert Mulvany and David Doyle.  We wish the managment and squad all the best.

New membership system in place

The club are using a new system for both membership management and communications for this year. The system is provided by ClubZap. This includes a mobile app which can be used by everyone to manage their membership, and recieve information on individual teams, etc. The ClubZap app is available for iPhone in the App store or Android in the Google Play Store. Hopefully, you'll have received a renewal link from Club Zap.

2020 Memberships are now open for renewal

Membership renewal has been opened up and you can pay your membership online through ClubZap. Pricing and payment page available here. If you've already paid, we thank you for your prompt response.

Second Junior Hurling team in place - still recruiting

The success of our Junior Hurlers, along with a growing panel of players means we're running two Junior Hurling teams for 2020. We've had a great response to our recent posts about this, and can confirm the second team is in place, with it's first game the weekend after next.  Could you be persuaded? Maybe you stopped playing some time back, but fancy playing again. If you're interested, or you know someone who may be, let us know and we'll put you in touch with the relevant management.

This Weekend's Fixtures

Right, lots of leagues starting this weekend.  A full list of fixtures is available on the club website. For juvenile boys, all ages from U8 to U16 play this weeken, U15 Girls are in action too. Here's some adult games to watch out for:
The Senior footballers get their AFL1 campaign off to a start.  It's at home to Naomh Meanog at 10:30 am this Sunday, 16th on PNU1 (Facebook event here)
The Minor A footballers take on Na Fianna at Mobhi Road at 11 on Sunday morning.
My pick of the ladies games would be the U15 Ladies footballers who are away to Foxrock/Cabinteely at 2pm on Saturday, or the U15 Camogie who take on Erin's Isle at 1pm on Sunday on PNU2. Yep. You read that right. Football on Saturday, Camogie on Sunday. Don't get me started.

And finally..

I've a google alert to let me know any time St vincents gets a mention in the press. Just in case, like. Every now and again, a headline will catch my eye. This one from Cork's Echo popped up this week.

Don't worry folks, the Vincents in this case is St Vincents in Cork, and the story is about an election win.
